At a time when the “normal” school year would be nearing a close, and with so many children home for months, most of you parents are now even more aware of the great work your children’s teachers do on a daily basis.  So we have decided to honor and recognize some of these local teachers, for their dedication, and for making a difference in the education and mentoring of area children.

The restaurant is asking you for nominations of local teachers to be a part of our TEACHER FEATURE campaign, a daily selection of one local teacher to be recognized for their efforts, and to receive a $50 Gift Certificate.

“As parents of three daughters and five grandchildren, Mike and I have always held a great appreciation for teachers,”says Bridget Roddy.  “I was a Special Education teacher for a number of years and can tell you from my experience that there is not a more challenging OR rewarding job than being a teacher.  We are happy to give something back to the people that make such an impact in our kids lives.”

We’re asking the public to submit the name of your favorite teacher growing up, or a teacher that your child would recommend, and include a few lines about what makes that person special.  One local teacher will be chosen each day and will be announced on social media as the “Teacher Feature” of day and will receive a $50 Paesano Gift Certificate.

It’s simple to submit, - either post the name of teacher (and a photo if available) on our Paesano Facebook page, or email the submission to

Teacher(s) Name:
Student First Name:
Teacher Contact Information:
Why did you choose this teacher / teachers?

We will include the name of the nominating person in the social shout out, unless they wish to remain anonymous.

“Teachers like most everyone are struggling during these difficult times,”says Roddy.  “Many have been conducting classes remotely and have adapted their schedule to fit their students needs.  We all know a teacher or two, that made a difference in our lives.  We’re honored to show our appreciation and share some of their stories.”

Thank you for your help and THANK YOU TEACHERS!
